Founded in 1944 in Chelyabinsk city of Russia, South Ural State Medical University is one of the prestigious government medical universities in Russia. Consistently placed in the list of the top 30 Russian universities, it is one of the top ten medical universities in Russia and number one in the South Ural region of Russia. To engage its students in research work, the University maintains various medical labs including Central Research Laboratory, and also runs a research institute and consultation center. The Scientific Library of the University has a collection of more than 7,00,000 published books and scientific journals. To train students with the help of modern techniques and to sharpen their practical skills, the University provides training in the Practical Skills Training Center aided by medical simulation. For clinical training of the students, South Ural State Medical University runs several clinical bases equipped with high-tech and specialized medical care services.
